"Digital Gene" illustrates how basic elements in DNA and RGB of digital art combine uniquely, reflecting the diversity of nature in visuals.
"Digital Gene" is an art project that intriguingly parallels the inherent randomness of biological DNA—composed of four nucleotides (A, T, G, C)—with the primary colors used in digital artwork (Red, Green, Blue, Alpha). This project explores how the random interplay of these elements, both biological and digital, can generate a breathtaking array of diversity and unique aesthetic expressions.
The process begins by extracting and storing a vibrant color palette from an original image, similar to a genetic code. A random color is then selected and applied to the canvas, initiating the artwork's journey. Subsequent colors are chosen based on their RGB proximity to the previous one, fostering a natural yet unpredictable progression. This method leads to a unique exploration of color relationships—each artwork is distinct yet deeply connected to its original source. Reflecting the randomness of DNA, the process ensures that no two creations are identical.
By weaving together the foundational components of life with the core elements of digital art, "Digital Gene" examines the unpredictable yet fascinating outcomes that emerge from combining simple building blocks in complex ways.
